| I don't think you can contain the depth & breadth of the kind of
relationship/person you desire in a few key phrases; it's like mistaking a painting or a photo for the person themselves - they capture a moment in time,
but can't encompass a lifetime of experience. To me it's analogous to trying to describe the person/relationship I seek; there's so much to it, too much to define, & so much unspoken & unspeakable, & yet, even with that disclaimer, I
think it's important to have an idea. Part of what I seek is someone who connects w/me on many different levels: emotionally - that we have the same needs for closeness & sharing; intellectually - someone like me who likes to
consider the mysteries of life & the universe, who enjoys learning about new things, who is open to the adventure of this world, & who lives an examined life; physically - someone who needs as much as I do (& that is a lot!)
affection, passion, intensity; psychically - someone in tune w/his own
feelings, intuition, & in tune w/mine; & soulfully - someone who touches that indefinable place in my mind, my heart, & my body. I also want someone to play
with, someone to be silly with, someone to laugh a lot with (which by the way I do!!), someone who looks at life in a positive way, someone who can see the
absurdity of a disagreement & laugh at themselves & each other, someone who can never stay mad or upset for long, someone who would rather get things out
in the open, talk calmly about them & find a mutually satisfying solution, than keep things bottled up inside, someone who can't bear to have the person they love upset or angry w/them...I'm describing myself in the 2nd half of this wish list cuz this is the way I am & it would be so nice to find someone
who feels the way I do. I guess what I'm really searching for is someone who can understand me & who I can understand & hope that we will both be able to meet each other . |
